Our night began at Tokyo Table in Irvine’s Diamond Jamboree center, which is an adventure in itself. Tokyo table is an affordable Japanese restaurant with very fun and innovative different sushi rolls and food items. We started our meal with a delicious hot order of garlic edamame and a spicy tuna on crispy rice, both I highly recommend. This restaurant is great to go with friends.  It is encouraged to share in a family style sort of way.

Next we drove onto UCI’s campus to “Snow Monster.” This is a very popular dessert destination for the young adult age group. Snow monster is a fun place to go and spend some time playing Jenga with friends or simply relaxing by the fire while enjoying some yummy treats. 

There are many different options at Snow Monster, from snow like shaved ice, to customizable ice cream sandwiches, as well as delicious Thai tea, which comes in a souvenir Mason jar cup. They also have many different flavors of macaroons, cookies and ice cream.  Personally I ordered an ice cream sandwich with fruity pebble macaroons and vanilla ice cream.  

This is a great alternative to the average night out with friends. It is a fun change of pace and a great way to explore a multi cultural adventure.
